How do I apply?
If you want to apply for an AP degree (2 - 2½ years) or for a BA degree (3½ years) with the study start in August (summer intake), you have to apply online on www.optagelse.dk. The application process starts on February 1st.
If you want to apply for a programme with the study start in February (winter intake), you have to use the application form available on www.kea.dk. The application process starts on September 15th and you can find the application form on the specific programme's page.
If you want to apply for a top-up BA (1½ years), you have to use the application form available on the specific programme's page.

When is the deadline?
Summer intake
If you are applying for an AP degree or a full BA degree, the deadlines are the following:
Quota 2: March 15th, if you have foreign qualifications, vocational qualifications or you're applying for special permission.
Quota 1: July 5th, if you have a Danish gymnasium exam (STX, HF, HHX, HTX)
If you're applying for a Top up (1½ år), you can find the deadlines on the specific programme's page.
Winter intake
If you're applying for a programme with the study start in winter, the deadlines are the following:
October 15th - non-EU applicants
December 1st - EU applicants

When do I get an answer regarding my application?
Summer intake:
- By the end of July - for all AP and BA programmes
- In the beginning of July - for all top-up BA programmes
Winter intake:
- December 20th - for all programmes

If I get rejected, will my application be saved for the next intake?
No, it won't be saved.
If you receive a rejection, you have to apply again once the application process starts for a new intake.

SU

How do I apply for SU?
You have to apply on www.su.dk. You have to use your NemID to login and apply.

How much SU can I get?
Check the current rates on HTTP://WWW.SU.DK/SATSER/

HOW MUCH CAN I EARN while RECEIVing SU?
You can see how much you can earn while receiving SU HERE.
Through the link, you can go to a calculator to find your tax-free amount. It is your own responsibility to calculate your tax-free amount correctly. Always remember to include your holiday allowance in your total income for the year when you received the holiday allowance.

Can I get SU during the summer holiday?
Yes, unless you have chosen not to receive SU during the holidays.
You have the right to 6 weeks of holidays a year with a maximum of 4 consecutive weeks. The SU office can request a confirmation letter from your employer stating your holiday period.
Keep an eye on your e-boks in case the SU office contacts you.

SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT (SPS)

What is SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT (SPS)?
SPS is an aid scheme aimed to ensure that students with mental or physical disabilities are able to complete an educational programme on equal terms with other students.
The particular offers of aid depend on the disability the student is suffering from, e.g. dyslexics, hearing impairment, visual impairment, physical handicap, or psychological disorder.

How can I apply for SPS?
The first time the student applies for aid, a longer case handling time must be expected as multiple authorities are involved. In general, case handling time is expected to be between 2 weeks and 2 months.

Are there teaching hours every day?
Yes, you are studying a full-time programme and there's teaching every day from 8.15. There can be teaching-free days.
You are expected to use approximately 40 hours/week on lectures, preparation and group work.

What does it mean to be an active student?
To be an active student means that you participate in the study activities, as described in the curriculum of your programme. You have to participate in lectures and group work, develop your skills, deliver assignments on time and pass your exams.
The teaching schedule is a small part of your education. You have to spend much more time on your development and group work, that you have to plan to plan together with your group.

How much group work is there?
On most of the programmes, there's a lot of group work and projects. It mirrors the business life you'll encounter after you graduate.
The projects that have to be completed in a group can last from a few weeks to a whole semester.

When do we have holiday?
KEA is closed on holy days, the days between Christmas and New Year and 3 days before Easter.
The Summer holiday starts at the beginning of July until study start, around August 20th.

Can I work while I study?
Yes, you can work 10-15 hours/week, while you study.

No, all our programmes are full-time programmes with teaching and study related activities planned during the day.
