The boards of Cphbusiness and KEA have approved the plans for a merger. Now, approval from the Minister of Higher Education and Science awaits, before The Capital Region of Denmark will have a new, unified business academy.

Since April 8th, Cphbusiness and KEA have been working to uncover the potential of merging the two business academies.

The ambitions of the merger are to create the best conditions for developing and strengthening the provision of practice-oriented higher education in The Capital Region og Denmark, with a focus on the needs of students and the business community.

On June 24th, the plans were presented to the boards of Cphbusiness and KEA, both of which have given the green light to submit an application for the merger.

The merger plans are now submitted for approval to the Minister of Higher Education and Science.

If the merger is approved, the goal is for the new business academy to come into existence on July 1, 2025.

A merger of Cphbusiness and KEA will lead to the establishment of Denmark's largest business academy with approximately 25,000 full-time and part-time students. The business academy will collectively have about 900 employees, 13 locations, and approximately 860 million DKK in revenue.
