A team of 21 students from e-Design and Multimedia Design has been on an action packed two week trip to San Francisco to visit, among others, Indiegogo, Google and Zendesk, and where ‘Business Dragons’ will challenge the students' start-up ideas.
Students head out to Silicon Valley
21 students have applied for and been approved for what you might call ‘the dream trip’ - especially if you have a great business idea and the ambition to become an entrepreneur. And this is the ambition of all of the 21 students.
"It is a very ambitious innovation and entrepreneurship course in San Francisco and Silicon Valley, where the students will work in close collaboration with major business profiles and develop their business ideas in cooperation with American companies, start-up communities and entrepreneurs,” tells Bodil Christine Reumert who is a teacher at the interdisciplinary course.
Over the next two labor-intensive weeks, the students will get a huge boost in their knowledge about entrepreneurship, innovation and disruption by engaging in close cooperation with selected partners in the US, with Danish companies in San Francisco and with other entrepreneurs who have made it. The goal is to achieve maximum learning and interaction with the business community, so the students will be prepared for a career as future entrepreneurs of Denmark.
