Eva Valcke will be the new Director of Education at KEA. She will be part of KEA Rector's Office together with Rector Steen Enemark Kildesgaard, Director of Education Katja Munch Thorsen and Resource Director Jens Barslund Ellehauge. Eva Valcke will take up the Director of Education position as of 15 April 2022 and will report to the Rector.
Eva Valcke becomes new Director of Education at KEA
Eva Valcke will lead the KEA BUILD and KEA DESIGN departments and KEA Competence (continuing education). The management of the entire education and research area at KEA will take place in close cooperation with Director of Education Katja Munch Thorsen, who will continue to lead the KEA TECH and KEA DIGITAL departments as well as KEA Research, Career & Relations.
Eva Valcke is a familiar face at KEA, coming from a position as head of KEA Research, Career & Relations. Here she has been responsible for a wide range of cross-cutting functions that support KEA's programmes and students.
Eva Valcke began her career at KEA in 2010 and since 2013 management has played a dominant role. Eva Valcke has led the construction of KEA Global, Employment, Student Life and LearningLab, and as chairwoman of the International Committee of Business Academies, Schools of Applied Sciences, Eva has also had an important position in the political dialogue with, among others, the Ministry of Higher Education and Science. In addition, she is a member of the Business Academies' Research Policy Committee, Education Forum and Education Network - Erhvervshus Hovedstaden, Advisory Board - SME Growth and Steering Group, ATV – the Danish Academy of Technical Sciences, Science and Engineering in the programmes.
Rector Steen Enemark Kildesgaard elaborates on the choice of KEA's new Director of Education as follows: "Eva Valcke comes with solid management and operational experience from the business academy sector as well as an in-depth knowledge of KEA's organisation. Furthermore, Eva has a strong relational profile with a large network within the education world and adjacent areas, which is an asset for KEA".
Eva Valcke was born and raised in Belgium, and her educational background is a Master of Linguistics and Literature, an Advanced Master in Culture and Communication, and a professional postgraduate teacher training from Leuven's Catholic University in Belgium. Eva is 45 years old and lives in Roskilde with her husband and their two children.
